We have been customers since Mauricio\'s first opened. The biggest difference we can tell since its opening is that it just gets Better & Better. The service is great the food is out standing. the owners are two fantastic people. They go out of their way to make sure the food & the service are first rate. It is always an enjoyable experience. From California, in town on business and happened by this gem of a restaurant. Excellent service, fabulous food, the Lobster Bisque was \"to die for\" and not just because my cholesterol went up with the cream in it, a respectable wine list (remember I am from California), wonderful ambiance and great owners, both of whom stopped by to see how we were doing. I was invited to look around after dinner, including the kitchen which was clean and sparkling and well attended by a friendly and clearly great chef.

I was in town visiting overnight from Nashville. I saw your listing in the hotel guide in my room. I remember reading a review in a Nashville paper just after you opened and decided to check it out for myself. Even though I didn\'t have reservations, I was promptly seated. The service was just right and the food was excellent. I will definitely come back next time I\'m in town (I\'m a tech alumnus from the 70\'s, so hopefully I\'ll be back soon).

Mike & Monte.. My husband & I just celebrated our 45th annv.at Mauricio\'s Sat. We we impressed the minute Mike opened the door & greeted us by name!! It was like going back in time, to a warm, inviting, wonderful place that is now dear to my heart!Our table was nx to the crackling fireplace. Our waiter was great.He was there when you needed him but not intrusive.The decor is outstanding & very tasteful.Music was relaxing & romance was in the air!! As for the food, we can only say that it was the best experience ever!!!! Presentation from start to finish was outstanding!! Favor was unbelievable!!! Portions were plentiful. I live out of town and wanted to give my parents (who live in Cookeville) and nice dinner as an anniversary present. I originally had plans of sending them to Nashville or Knoxville, but after some online research found Mauricio\'s. Upon finding the website I made a few calls to friends and soon found out that Mauricio\'s had everything that I was looking for. I am so happy to know that Cookeville now has a restaurant like this! With the help of Monty, I was able to arrange a special evening for my parents. I would like to thank him and the mauricio\'s staff for their assistance in making it perfect.

My boyfriend Chris Kemp and I went there last night to celebrate our one year anniversary and it was wonderful. The food was fabulous and the setting was so romantic. If you want to enjoy a nice quiet dinner this is absolutely the perfect place to go. The service was fantastic and and we would love to go there again.

The elegant surroundings, subtle lighting, crackling fireplaces are equalled in excellence by the warm, friendly service and delicious and elegantly presented food. (including any of the recently opened restaurants).
From the delicious ravioli stuffed with spinach, to the eggplant parmesan and the chicken marsala, the food is always scrumptious. The service (with a friendly smile) is excellent.

From the wine list, high quality cuisine, excellent service, to the wonderful atmosphere---we are in love! My husband swears by the lobster ravioli and I am loyal to the shrimp bowtie pasta with sundried tomatoes. Yum!! I have been there many of times over the past two years. Everytime i go in I always get a friendly greeting from the staff. The food is heavenly and the bread will melt in your mouth. Mike and Monte have done a superb job at restoring the old house into the beautiful resteraunt that it is today.
